are you aware of the phenomenon of secondary drowning? if you have kids that take swimming lessons, have you ever been told by a lifeguard about it?

after swimming (especially in the ocean with big waves), do you ever watch your kids or yourself for flu-like symptoms up to 72 hours after you get out of the water?

that's a perfect example of a water-related death that SHOULD NOT have happened.

drownings are sad...99% of them can be prevented

what kind of precautions do you take around water?
